WELCOME TO THE 2016-17 INTERSECTIONS SPEAKERS SERIES!
This year’s Intersections programming comes mostly from the labour of four research clusters in our department: ‘Geography and Planning Graduate Student Reading Circle: Reading Black Geographies’, ‘Political Ecology: Interrogating the Anthropocene’, ‘Political Spaces: Occupations and Reparations’ and ‘Transportation’. Each cluster proposed a theme and a set of activities such as lectures, workshops, reading groups and so on. You will hear directly from the cluster organizers about their various activities and this website will also keep you informed about the lectures, workshops, films and other events that have been planned for 2016-2017.
Although much of our Intersections 2016-2017 budget has already been allocated to the activities of the four research clusters, we still have a limited amount of money for other ad-hoc events, especially to take advantage of interesting people passing through or present in Toronto. If you have ideas about anyone coming to or based in Toronto who deserves to be part of Intersections, please contact the coordinator for this year’s Intersections, Kanishka Goonewardena (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Intersections schedule is available here. As our calendar will be updated as and when new events are confirmed, you may want to check our website from time to time. We will announce all events by email as well.
